From Panama City To Corpus Christi

Hello friends and family,
It's been quite a while since we've posted here on our blogpage, and we're so sorry that we haven't kept you up to speed on the happenings of our lives recently.
If you haven't already heard, the Lord opened the door recently for us to begin ministry in beautiful Corpus Christi, Texas. We relocated to Corpus Christi on December 13th and are getting settled into our new apartment and city.
This has been a bittersweet transition for us. Leaving friends and church family is never easy, especially when you relocate over 800 miles away. However, through the internet and cell phones, friends and family are just a small distance away. The Lord was good to us in Panama City, and we cherish the ministry times there. Now, He has opened this door and we're excited about what He is doing and will do in the future.
Please keep in touch with us and let us know how you are doing. Our emails are: bobby.pruiett@gmail.com and cheryl.pruiett@gmail.com
You can also find us on facebook.
We wish you a very blessed and merry Christmas and prosperous new year.

My Family

On 06-07-08 Codey Holland and Brooke Betson were united in Holy Matrimony at the Natchez Country Club in Franklin, Tennessee. Codey is my oldest sister's son and here is the rest of the family.

Left to Right: the first four are Randy, Tami, Kristin, and Wil Parnell. (Tami is my older sister.) The next five are Kaylinn, Phillip, Debbie, Brooke and Codey Holland. (Debbie is my much older sister.) The next two are the cause of this bunch...my parents, Clyde and Margaret Kerr. The last three are me, Bobby and Jordan.

My family made me promise (since I pulled them out of the reception to snap this picture before it got dark) that this would replace our annual family picture at the beach during Thanksgiving. Actually I gave up on that being an annual event a long time ago. Getting everybody off the beach to get ready for a picture at just the right shade of sunset has not been fun. So I gave up. They just don't appreciate a scrapbookers need for a picture.

Back to the wedding...what a wonderful time we all had. Meeting Brooke's family was a real joy. Most of us stayed at the same hotel and really enjoyed each other.

As for Codey's choice of a spouse...we couldn't of picked a better one for him. Brooke is as sweet and precious as she looks in this picture. We count it an honor and privilege to have her in the family.

Field Trip to the Hospital

Jordan and Alex heard that the chocolate milk in the Emergency Room was really good, so they decided to try it out. The fact that it had charcoal in it didn't seem to bother either one of them. This picture was taken after their mouths were cleaned up. The charcoal made their lips look like they had been sucking on a black ink pad.
Jordan got a bottle of pills that Bobby and I had taken with us on a trip this past weekend. There was Tylenol, Advil, Excedrin Tension and RX strength Ibuprofen in the bottle. The bottle of pills were in my Bible study bag that is usually hung on a rack in the hallway. I was so glad to see Jordan and Big Mama when we got home that I forgot to hang it up (out of Jordan's reach). Jordan opened it and politely shared with Alex. It couldn't of been more than 2 minutes at the most, and I realized they had gotten quiet. Quiet with these two is never a good thing. Imagine my surprise when I saw reddish-orange juice running down the side of Alex's mouth. Jordan kept saying more...more. Long story short...they are fine. The doctor didn't want to test them until four hours after the incident. The tests came back saying little or no traces of anything. The only thing the doctor said was that Jordan was a little dehydrated. Maybe that's why he guzzled that chocolate milk even with the charcoal in it.
I usually enjoy field trips, but this was one trip I don't care to ever repeat.

Happy July 4th!

What a great July 4th we experienced in Panama City and Destin today! We started out going on a field trip to Destin's Bass Pro Shop, since Jordan loves boats and fishing. Here's a photo of him in one of the boats on display there. He absolutely loves fishing! I think he will take Bill Dance's place one of these days.

For those of you who haven't seen a "grand finale" of fireworks, I have attempted to attach the short video of the finale of the fireworks at the Panama City marina tonight.

We hope you all had a great July 4th too!

Take care and come see us!

Love to all!

Congrats Russ and Ashley!

The youngest of the Pruiett brothers finally tied the knot after 5 years of dating Ashley. They were united in holy matrimony on 5/10/08. The picture is the only one we took of the two of them together (I know, it sounds crazy).

We wish them the very best and many, many years of marital happiness and blessings!

We love you and are proud of you!

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY, MAWMAW & PAWPAW

I love you and had fun at your party! The cake was real good, and I loved to run around and play with my cousins.

Come see me in Florida,

Love,

Jordan

HAPPY 50TH ANNIVERSARY, DAD & MOM!

On April 25, 1958, my parents were united in holy matrimony. 50 years later, they are still going strong, although many miles, trials and joyous occasions have occured.

On Saturday May 3rd, the Pruiett boys hosted a 50th Wedding Anniversary Celebration at our parent's church in Sikeston, Missouri. Cheryl did a WONDERFUL job coordinating and implementing the event, all the way from FLORIDA. I'm so proud of her.

Happy Anniversary Lloyd and Martha, we are proud of you, love you, and want to thank you for setting the example for young people about what commitment is all about!

Hope you enjoyed your special day.
